(A modest room with the essentials. It's a complete mess because Dai never cleans it.)
-
Dai laid Yuuryo on his bed and put a cold rag on his forhead.
-
"Dai...Dai,... please." Yuuryp murmured.
-
"What is it, Yuuryo?" He asked, kneeling next to him.
-
"....Dai.... please... want... Dai..., please... I want to.... please... want to Dai.... want to die"
-
He froze unsure what to think, unsure what to feel.
"You're not allowed to die, idiot," he told him as he began to yell. "I won't allow it!"
-
Yuuryo can't seem to hear you. Although the words are just as quiet, you can now hear the whole message "I want to die. I want to die. I want to die, please."
-
He couldn't take it. Dai picked up the pillow with both hands. Be Quiet.... Now it was in the air over Yuuryo's head. "SHUT UUUUP!!!!" He screamed from the top of his lungs, his yells mixing in with Yuuryo's cries for peace in a broken melody known only by tormented hearts.
The room fell to silence.
The snow white pillow dropped to the floor with barely a sound.
Dai's lips fell onto Yuuryo's. His fingers roughly in his hair. Gently cradling the boy's head in his arms.
-
Yuuryo trembled, though he could manage no further re-action to the unfamiliar stimuli.
-
Dai pulled his lips away, looking down into the tan face he held in his hands. "I said.....that you....are not allowed to die."
-
Yuuryo remind silent. His expression was soft and calm. However, it was hard to tell if he was genuinely peaceful, or simply too drained of energy to move his face.
-
He closed his eyes, which had returned to their normal hazel and laid the boy back down against the bed replacing the cold rag on his forehead. Dai then sat tiredly in a wooden chair adjacent to the bed. He felt exhausted, but his brain raced.
-
After a few hours of rest Yuuryo finally re-opened his eyes and sat up in bed. He examined his location as well as his teammate who sat before him. His expression remained calm and un-moving.
-
"It's about damn time. You've been out forever."
-
Yuuryo simply tilled his head, staring at Dai.
-
"Why are you staring at me like that? It's annoying." he looked away.
-
Yuuryo stood from the bed, getting ready to to walk towards the other boy, but with his body's condition he stumbled more than walked.
In his greatest efforts, all he could manage to do was land on the ground before Dai panting, more in pain than exhaustion.
-
Dai lifted the boy up and laid him back in the bed.. "Don't move." He walked over to the table where he had a small bowl of blended herbs. "Before I was locked away...when I was a child. My mother was a herbalist. She showed me many things." He brought the bowl over to Yuuryo, scooped his finger in the bowl and extended the finger toward Yuuryo's mouth. "Eat it. You'll feel better."
-
Yuuryo stared vacantly before gingerly licking the substance. There was a mild ting on disgust on his face, surely under any other circumstance it would have been a far more extravagant facial contortion.
-
"So, that form you took." He started as he sat back down. "What the hell was that?"
-
Yuuryo's eyes returned to Dai. It seemed that he could hear the words being said to him, but was unable to quite make out the meaning.
-
"Oi! You deaf or something?" He said getting frustrated. "Answer me, cherry boy!?"
-
"something?," Yuuryo repeated softly, with a light, kind smile on his eyes.
-
Dai eyed him suspiciously. "Quit playing games. I asked you a question."
-
"What do you need?" Yuuryo asked, though the words sounded awkward, almost like they were being said by a voice synthesizer.
-
"I was asking about your darkness release. What was that?" he continued to cautiously watch him. "Are you ok? Something about you seems odd. And thats saying alot for someone like you."
-
"Tell me then...What are you?" Yuuryo asked in the same mismatching tone.
-
"What? I'm Dai Lee. Your teammate. Yuuryo stop acting so weird..."
-
"I said.....that you....are not allowed to die." Yuuryo mimicked. He seemed confused, and curiousness.
-
It finally hit him. These were all things he'd said to him last night. He wasn't sure how to react.
-
"I'm here." Yuuryo said "I have your back."
-
Dai gripped yuuryo by his collar and got in his face. "Snap out of it!"
-
Disregarding Dai's rough actions Yuuryo place both his hand gently on Dai's cheeks, as he softly pressed his forehead against his. "You're in control."
-
Yuuryo's hands began to slip. He toppled back into bed, falling into a deep sleep
(you can go ahead a do whatever)
-
Dai returned to the room to find Yuuryo still asleep. he scoffed.
-
Yuuryo mumbled "Dai, can you please close the curtains... it feels like the light it burning right through my eye lids"
-
Dai made his way over to the window and closed the curtains casting the room into a thin shadow. He stood over his teammate, watching him carefully.
-
Yuuryo opened his eyes and smiled weakly "Thank you, it's so bright today, don't you think?"
-
Dai was to the point. "Are you alright now?"
-
Yurryo looked away, seeming rather grim "It hurts... "
He lightened up returning is gaze to Dai "but I'm fine, mostly just sick feeling"
-
"I think that may be a good sign." He walked towards the kitchen again to mix more herbs "Do you remember what happened?"
-
"I remember... burning, like every cell in my body was on fire." Yuuryo seemed a bit distressed "Though, worse than that was a deep feeling of fear. I've never experienced such fear"
He sat up in bed "after that, everything seemed so dreamy, it was hard to tell what was real and what was fake."
-
Dai followed every word before responding. "fear, eh? That was the center of your dark chakra it seems. The reibi inside me feeds on it, but your particular chakra had an adverse effect on it." He finished blending the herbs, but before he turned to bring it he asked one more question before turning around. "Do you remember anything else?"
-
"I remember something really weird... but I'm sure it was a dream," Yuuryo seemed almost embarrassed "I-it was really stupid though, I'm sure you wouldn't want to hear about it! Just a dumb dream, really dumb"
-
"Tell me." Dai said with an unusually soft tone.
-
"Um... You... You... You're gonna laugh at me! it was really... stupid," Yuuryo looked to the ceiling and bit his lip.
-
"Out with it, Yuuryo!"
-
"You- kissed me," Yuuryo stammered , he seemed to preparing himself to be punched in the face.
-
Dai went silent for a moment....
....then exploded with laughter. "Ha, that's a good one, Cherry boy! Been having wet dreams about me, huh? Hahaha"
-
"I knew you would laugh, JERK!" Yuuryo folded his arms "You're always so mean!"
-
"Here," he handed him the broth blend he'd just made. "You're body is trying to heal itself, which is good. This will only numb the sickness you feel."
-
Yuuryo begrudgingly took the broth as he murmured "I could swear it was real."
-
Dai's eyes were hard to read. His gaze intense.
"....Do you want it to be real?"
-
Yuuryo seemed a bit surprised "Well... I would be lying... if I said no... " Yuuruo rubbed the back if his head and tried to laugh it off "B-But wouldn't that be really weird, You're so much taller then me... it would look funny"
Yuuryo made up a silly excuse.
-
"You're funny, Cherry boy." Dai chuckled as he moved towards the door. "Got a couple of errands to run. Lay back and rest some more." He was out the door.
(Good night zZZZzzz)
-
Yuuryo watched Dai leave, and the moment he was out the pinked haired ninja cover his head with blankets at bitched himself out for being an idiot.
-
After Yuuryo calmed down he got himself out of bed and left the apartment, locking the door behind him.
